Its reproduction, of any type or origin, and the use of copies is only authorised for the purposes of information for personal and private use. Any use of any kind and via any means, whether communication, total or partial representation, modification or break up of the general structure, software, texts, images, animated or not, its know-how and all other elements making up this website by anyone at all, without Figure specific authorisation, is prohibited and liable to constitute a copyright infringement, punished by Articles L. 335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.

The Intellectual Property Code specifies that you must quote the source or ask the permission of the image provider. This applies only in respect of copyright. As a creation of the mind, images (even screenshots) are protected by copyright (art. L112-2-9 of Intellectual Property Code). Reproducing or representing, without authorisation, images, texts, documents is subject to pay damages and interests in the event of prejudice under the Civil Code. Those damages and interests are calculated on a case-by-case basis. It depends on the victim’s loss of profit, damage suffered due to the way in which the content is viewed and any implications that the author might have had, the way the image has been shown and what it could have provided to the designer in financial terms.
